Bible Study FAQ
Do I need to register to attend Bible Study?
No registration is necessary. Please join us!
Who is invited to come?
We welcome women of all ages and backgrounds to join us for Bible study. Because this is a women's Bible study, we respectfully request all men attending with their wives to sit in the balcony. We also provide overflow seating in the Fellowship Hall for men.
Is childcare available?
Sorry, we are unable to provide childcare at Bible Study.
Where do I park?
Carpooling is strongly encouraged in order to maximize the parking lots at Houston's First. Once the on-site parking lots fill, police officers will direct vehicles to overflow parking in nearby parking garages.
Click here for a map of approved parking lots and garages located around the church. The on-site lots typically fill by 6:15pm. Plan to park at one of the garages if you are arriving after this time.
How early do I arrive?
Doors to the Worship Center open at 6pm. However, we strongly encourage you to avoid traffic by coming early. You can eat dinner at the Garden Cafe on-site. The cafe opens at 4:45pm and serves everything from boxed dinners ($5), Chick-fil-A sandwiches, soups, salads or a hot plate. You can also browse the Living Proof Resource table or grab a specialty coffee drink in the main foyer.
Is there food available at the church?
Yes! The on-site cafe opens at 4:45pm. They serve everything from boxed dinners ($5) to Chick-fil-A sandwiches to hot plates. Click here to see the hot plate of the day: http://houstonsfirst.org/bethmoorebiblestudydinner
Can I save seats for my friends?
You may save two seats in the Worship Center. We kindly ask you to release all saved seats at 7pm in order to free up seats for those arriving late.
What is the format of the evening?
Worship begins at 6:30pm. Beth will begin teaching about 7pm. We try our best to get you on your way home by 8:30pm. We promise you will leave blessed!
Who leads worship?
This semester, we are blessed to have Stephen & Star Smith, Lisa Pierre and band returning to lead our Tuesday night worship. We sing everything from contemporary worship music to traditional hymns and everything in between.
Would someone be willing to pray with me at Bible study?
Absolutely! We have a wonderful team of women who would love to pray with you before and after Bible study. The prayer team meets in the Chapel before Bible study from 6-6:30pm. They are also available by the prayer rails immediately following Bible study. Just look for women up front by the stage who are wearing prayer badges.
Will Make-up videos be available for this study?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a make-up video this semester.
